Recently I had a client who reported problems with the geo ip service data with Sitecore 7.2.  They use the information returned, specifically your country, to determine if you need to be redirected to a new site.  But in some situations a user would not see that redirection occur until the next page load.

After a fresh installation of sitecore (7.5 onwards) and once you visit some pages on the site you will notice in the sitecore logs exceptions like “Sitecore.Analytics.DataAccess.DatabaseNotAvailableException". This is because Sitecore now uses MongoDB as repository for DMS analytics content, taking advantage of its JSON objects storage structure. You will need to install and configure MongoDB to get rid of this error and can review analytics raw data.

Our client has multiple web sites for which they were keeping basic page visit information. They wanted to add some session-level information to allow them to tie back to session-level information they were saving from their application. They also wanted to have some information about 2 pages with some complex user interaction so they could improve the user experience. Then they wanted to retrieve this information from Google Analytics and load back into their database so they could join to it for reporting purposes.
