About the client

Centaur Services was founded in 1964 by a group of veterinary surgeons. Today, it is one of the UK’s leading veterinary wholesalers, supplying more than 22,000 veterinary medicines and ancillary products to over 1,200 veterinary practices.

Challenge

Centaur wanted to create value-added services for veterinary practices while improving its supply distribution business. Its existing website and systems did not have the modern features needed to attract and retain customers. The team also needed a faster way to update marketing and promotional content. To support growth, Centaur needed a robust B2B eCommerce platform that could unify core business systems, improve efficiency, and scale with customer demand.

Solution

Centaur partnered with XCentium to implement InsiteCommerce as the foundation for a new B2B eCommerce experience. XCentium designed and developed a customer-facing content management system and B2B eCommerce portal that gave Centaur a more modern online presence.

InsiteCommerce’s commerce engine gave Centaur the digital capabilities needed to run its business online. Its cloud-based architecture also provided the scalability needed to support growing demand.

XCentium created custom content templates so Centaur’s team could update marketing and promotional materials in real time. The portal became a central hub for customers, suppliers, and prospective employees, with intuitive navigation, personalized content, and value-added services.
