Perry Homes
Commitment to delivering exceptional homebuying experiences led Perry Homes to revamp their digital platform, resulting in a seamless, scalable, and future-ready website that elevates customer satisfaction.
About
Perry Homes is one of the largest private homebuilders in Texas and Florida, with more than 50 years of experience creating thoughtfully planned communities. A family-owned company, Perry Homes has earned the confidence of more than 55,000 homebuyers by combining innovative design with enduring quality. With customer satisfaction at the core of its mission, the company is recognized for building homes that offer lasting value, personalized floor plans, and a tradition of excellence across communities.
Challenges
Perry Homes was built on a legacy website that couldn’t keep up with the company’s rapid growth, having tripled in size over the past decade. The technology needed to be modern, flexible, and scalable to support multiple brands, future expansion, and emerging AI-driven capabilities.
To address these gaps, Perry Homes migrated to Contentstack, an industry-leading composable digital experience platform known for its scalability, speed, and ability to power AI-driven personalization. The redesigned site launched in September 2024 but carried forward technical debt and unfulfilled requirements that required immediate attention.
Post-launch priorities:
Stabilize and optimize the Contentstack platform
Address accumulated technical debt
Boost overall site performance
Assess data-syncing bottlenecks
Migrate assets to a modern DAM
Solution
Perry Homes partnered with XCentium to address these priorities.
• Completed a full transition of DAM to Cloudinary, moving thousands of digital assets to a scalable and efficient platform:
a. Transferred over 2 TB of data from 190,000 assets.
b. Executed and monitored the migration over a 4-week period.
• Boosted mobile page performance:
a. Optimized third-party scripts to improve Lighthouse performance score by 7%.
b. Deferred the loading of offscreen content to accelerate initial page load and improve time-to-interactive.
c. Optimized images and media to prevent layout shifts, creating a more stable and consistent viewing experience.
d. Tuned cache control to reduce the number of requests, cutting image load response time by 50%.
• For rate-limiting issues, the XCentium architect completed a baseline assessment and provided remediation recommendations.
• Expanded the “My Account” feature, adding functionality and ensuring customers had a more stable and user-friendly experience.
• Fixed critical bugs and extended existing functionality
This dual-track approach, resolving legacy issues while advancing new initiatives, ensured the site became both more stable in the short term and strategically positioned for long-term digital growth.
Outcome
As a result of its partnership with XCentium, Perry Homes now has a more reliable and user-friendly website. Page performance has been boosted, lingering bugs from the initial launch have been resolved, and asset management has been streamlined through Cloudinary DAM.
Beyond these immediate improvements, the site is positioned for future growth. With a solid foundation in place, Perry Homes can fully leverage Contentstack’s robust suite of capabilities, including AI-enabled analytics, automation, and content generation. This positions the company to respond quickly to customer needs and reinforces its commitment to delivering exceptional experiences both online and in the homes they build.
