Perry Homes
Improved a Contentstack website by resolving launch issues, moving assets to Cloudinary DAM, boosting mobile performance, and creating a more stable homebuying experience
About the client
Perry Homes is one of the largest private homebuilders in Texas and Florida. The family-owned company has more than 50 years of experience and has earned the confidence of more than 55,000 homebuyers by building quality homes, thoughtfully planned communities, and personalized floor plans.
Challenge
Perry Homes had outgrown its legacy website after tripling in size over the past decade. The company needed a modern, flexible, and scalable platform to support multiple brands, future expansion, and emerging AI-driven capabilities. After launching its redesigned Contentstack site in September 2024, Perry Homes still had technical debt, performance issues, data-syncing concerns, and unfulfilled requirements that needed attention.
Solution
Perry Homes partnered with XCentium to stabilize and optimize the Contentstack platform while moving key digital priorities forward. XCentium focused on improving performance, resolving launch issues, assessing data-syncing bottlenecks, and extending customer-facing functionality.
XCentium completed a full digital asset management migration to Cloudinary. The team moved more than 2 TB of data from 190,000 assets and executed and monitored the migration over a four-week period. This gave Perry Homes a more scalable and efficient platform for managing digital assets.
XCentium also improved mobile page performance. The team optimized third-party scripts, deferred offscreen content, optimized images and media to prevent layout shifts, and tuned cache control to reduce requests. These improvements increased the Lighthouse performance score by 7% and reduced image load response time by 50%.
In addition, XCentium expanded the My Account feature, fixed critical bugs, extended existing functionality, and completed a baseline assessment for rate-limiting issues with remediation recommendations.
Outcomes
Perry Homes now has a more reliable and user-friendly website. Page performance has improved, lingering bugs from the initial launch have been resolved, and asset management has been streamlined through Cloudinary.
The site is also better positioned for future growth. With a stronger foundation in place, Perry Homes can continue to use Contentstack capabilities, including AI-enabled analytics, automation, and content generation, to respond more quickly to customer needs and support better digital experiences.
