Success story

Colliers International

Delivering better and faster with Colliers.

Challenge

Easy made deployments

Colliers faced the challenge of inconsistencies and inefficiencies in their development process, which led to high defect rates and delays in project deliveries.

Solution

Continually delivering value

Colliers partnered with XCentium to standardize their development process, resulting in a decrease in defects and an increase in deliveries.

XCentium harnessed the power of Coveo to allow for intelligent searching and self-service through the website portal. A subscription process was integrated into Coveo to ensure all configurations were reflected in emails.

Azure Active Directory and Google Maps were used to make searching properties available as the map moves, and Legacy Applications were used to provide Colliers with specialized internal tools, including a personalized dashboard and gated research downloads.

Clients are enabled to self-serve through the website portal with full dynamic search capabilities. The project also featured a full SDLC overhaul and re tooling to enhance parallel development efforts and automate delivery.

Colliers's teams can now track and personalize through the client portal while continuously delivering projects on or before deadlines.

About Colliers

Colliers International is a Canada-based, global commercial real estate organization with over 15,000 employees in 400+ offices in 62 countries. Their services range from project management to tenant representation. With $4.3 billion in revenue per year and $57 billion of assets under their management, Colliers needed a website that could grow with them.

Before these changes were implemented, we were in a world of pain. Huge, unwieldy deployments with complexity everywhere. Even simple updates were hard to get out the door. Even though we'd get the job done in the end, the business was losing faith in the project's ability to execute. They just weren't seeing value delivered quickly enough, leaving critical parts of our website (like the "search as map moves" functionality for property search) unfinished and languishing. Post-implementation was like a brand-new day. Almost overnight, it seemed that we flipped to a regular, quick turn schedule. We saw predictability in deliverables every few weeks. It gave my stakeholders confidence that we could get the job done. If anything, our problem at that point was keeping up with dev and rolling out the value-added in a way that the field could realize it effectively.
