XCentium has been a trusted digital partner to AGLC for over five years, supporting its transformation initiatives across multiple phases of platform evolution and modernization.

Challenge: Engineering for Speed, Scale, and Self-Service

AGLC was operating on a legacy digital commerce solution built on Sitecore Experience Platform (XP) and Sitecore Experience Commerce 9.3, hosted in Microsfot Azure as a PaaS environment. While the platform supported high-volume B2B operations and had served the organization well for several years, it was becoming increasingly complex to maintain, with limitations in flexibility, scalability, and long-term extensibility.

To future-proof their digital ecosystem, AGLC sought a modern, composable architecture that would:

  • Streamline internal operations and simplify content and commerce management
  • Improve site performance and support growing set of self-service capabilities
  • Reduce ongoing maintenance efforts while increasing agility
  • Provide a scalable, cloud-native foundation aligned with their digital roadmap

Solution: Delivering seamless experiences

XCentium partnered with AGLC to lead the successful migration to a composable Sitecore stack, deploying both Sitecore XM Cloud and OrderCloud.

Key elements of the solution included:

  • Migration from Sitecore XP/Commerce 9.3 to XM Cloud and OrderCloud, leveraging a headless, SaaS-based architecture

  • Built using the latest version of Next.js for high performance, maintainability, and scalability

  • Both the B2B storefront and Admin Portal are hosted on Vercel, enabling lightining-fast deployment pipelines and optimized global delivery

  • Seamless integrations with key back-office systems for pricing, inventory, fulfillment, payments, orders and returns management

  • Self-service enhancements to the admin portal, streamlining day-to-day workflows forback-office operations

  • Support for RMAs (Return Merchanise Authorizations) to enable returns through the platform

  • A flexible foundation to support future enhancements, and additional self-service workflows.
