Avid Technology provides tools for music editors, composers, producers, and media creators. The company helps creators make, manage, and share music and media experiences while supporting collaboration across a global creative community.

 

Challenge

 

Avid’s global B2C ecommerce platform was built on a legacy monolithic system. It was hard to scale, difficult to adapt, and created friction for customers trying to find and buy the right products. Slow load times, complex navigation, limited personalization, and cumbersome order management made it harder to meet rising customer expectations. Avid needed a more flexible platform without disrupting service for its existing customer base.

 

Solution

 

XCentium helped Avid move from a rigid ecommerce setup to a composable architecture centered on Sitecore. The new approach decoupled content management from digital touchpoints, giving Avid more flexibility to blend content and commerce experiences.

 

Sitecore Edge was integrated to improve performance for global customers. This helped reduce latency and support faster page loads across regions.

 

Coveo was added to improve product and content discovery. The search experience helped creators find relevant tools, software, and products more easily.

 

Avid also moved to a headless architecture on Vercel. This supported better scalability, separated front-end and back-end systems, and helped create a more flexible operating model.

The new platform gave Avid a faster, more user-friendly ecommerce experience for creators. Customers could discover products and content more easily, while Avid gained a platform that could adapt as needs changed.
