About the client

 

FleetPride is the nation’s largest distributor of truck and trailer parts and services. The company offers more than 1,000,000 SKUs across 490 brands and 320 product categories, with delivery options that include local delivery, expedited shipping, and in-store pickup at more than 300 retail branches.

 

Challenge

 

FleetPride needed a stronger commerce platform to support its digital modernization roadmap. The existing Salesforce CloudCraze Commerce platform created technical limits that made it harder to support current and future needs. FleetPride also needed to serve both B2B buyers and guest shoppers, improve search engine visibility and site performance, support punchout purchasing, and make a large product catalog easier to manage. Customers also needed more self-service options for orders, tracking, invoices, quotes, and wish lists.

 

Solution

 

FleetPride partnered with XCentium to launch a new commerce experience on Salesforce B2B Commerce using Lightning Web Components and Lightning Web Runtime. The new platform gave FleetPride a modern, responsive foundation designed to support B2B and B2C commerce needs.

 

XCentium designed the user experience in Figma to make the site easier for customers to navigate and use. The solution included Coveo for advanced search, Salesforce Marketing Cloud for email communications, and Dell Boomi integrations with internal systems, including iSeries, Sterling Order Management System, and Blue Yonder.

 

The platform also connected to third-party applications through application programming interfaces. These included Kount, VINtelligence, Card Connect, and Bill Trust. Azure Platform as a Service was used to store and manage invoice history data.

 

Outcomes

 

The new commerce platform helped FleetPride increase digital adoption and support its broader growth strategy. National Accounts now use the eCommerce channel at a high rate, and improvements to search engine optimization and guest checkout helped drive higher eCommerce sales.

 

The site was optimized for mobile and Google Lighthouse performance. Customers can now view inventory from more than 300 locations online and choose from multiple delivery options. The new platform gives FleetPride a flexible foundation for future commerce features.
