A global enterprise wireless solutions provider

Migrated from WordPress to Contentstack and Next.js, enabling faster performance, scalable content models, and improved authoring with modular components and structured workflows

About the client

A global provider of enterprise wireless and networking solutions serving organizations across industries such as manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, and retail. The company delivers secure, scalable connectivity to support distributed operations, IoT ecosystems, and mission-critical communications.

Challenge

The existing WordPress platform struggled to keep up with growing digital demands. Performance limitations, inconsistent component usage, and limited content governance created friction for both developers and content teams. Content updates required too much manual effort, and scaling the platform introduced risk. The organization needed a more flexible and structured approach to support long-term growth.

Solution

XCentium led the transition to a composable architecture using Contentstack, a headless CMS, and Next.js, a React-based framework. The team defined a clear migration strategy, extracting content from WordPress using the REST API and mapping it into structured Contentstack models. This approach ensured content could be reused, localized, and managed more efficiently.

To improve performance, Next.js was implemented with server-side rendering. This allowed pages to load quickly while maintaining dynamic content delivery. Contentstack Launch was used to support caching and publishing workflows, ensuring content updates remained fast and reliable.

A centralized component library was introduced to standardize development. This reduced duplication and improved consistency across the site. In parallel, modular content blocks were implemented within Contentstack. These blocks gave content authors the ability to build and update pages without developer support, increasing speed and flexibility.

Outcomes

The new platform improved both performance and usability. Pages load faster, and content updates are easier to manage. Development workflows are more efficient due to standardized components, and content teams can work independently using modular structures.

The organization now has a scalable foundation that supports future growth and evolving digital needs.
