About the client

 

Melaleuca is the largest online wellness shopping club in North America. Since 1985, the company has offered naturally effective wellness products and focused on helping customers improve their lives.

 

Challenge

 

Melaleuca needed a modern digital platform that could support international growth and serve shoppers across regions and languages. The team also needed to personalize the shopping experience using customer data and analytics. Content management was complex, with thousands of product detail pages and hundreds of unique components to build and maintain. The platform also had to support high traffic, accessibility, multilingual content, and a consistent experience across devices.

 

Solution

 

Melaleuca partnered with XCentium to redesign and roll out a global shopping experience using Sitecore Experience Platform. The platform was built on Microsoft Azure to support thousands of concurrent shoppers without performance issues.

 

XCentium created more than 70 custom personalization rules to tailor experiences based on customer data and behavior. The solution supported eight regional sites across multiple languages, with scalability for future expansion.

 

To simplify content work, XCentium embedded with Melaleuca’s team and improved the content entry process. Together, the teams built more than 1,000 product detail pages using more than 170 custom components. XCentium also supported Melaleuca’s mobile application through a headless implementation.

 

Outcomes

 

Melaleuca gained a scalable digital platform that supports shopping across Canada, the United States, Mexico, Singapore, Korea, and China. The new experience is modern, accessible, multilingual, and built to support thousands of shoppers at the same time.

 

The platform also gives Melaleuca stronger personalization and more efficient content operations. Centralized content storage and marketing automation help the team manage day-to-day updates with less complexity.
