Sky River Casino is a gaming and entertainment destination in Elk Grove, California, near Sacramento. Owned and operated by the Wilton Rancheria Tribe, it offers more than 2,100 slot machines, 80 table games, 18 dining venues, live events, music, and rewards experiences for guests.

Challenge

Sky River Casino’s website no longer reflected the quality of its in-person guest experience. The site was basic, outdated, and limited in how it supported digital engagement. Guests needed easier access to Players Rewards Club account details, offers, win/loss statements, and redemption history. The marketing team also needed a faster, more flexible way to publish personalized content and promote events, dining, and rewards.

Solution

XCentium partnered with Sky River Casino to rebuild its website on Optimizely Content Management System. The new site created a faster, more flexible digital foundation with reusable content blocks, drag-and-drop authoring, personalization, and Optimizely Digital Experience Platform hosting.

The website included a cleaner design, dynamic card components for promotions and events, and 360-degree views of food and beverage locations. Optimizely Data Platform supported personalized content based on guest behavior and preferences. Security Assertion Markup Language Single Sign-On also gave content managers secure and simplified access.

XCentium also delivered a secure Player Portal for Players Club members. The portal connected to Sky River Casino’s player management system and used Optimizely Data Platform to unify real-time patron data from Konami. Guests could view tier status, points, active offers, redemption history, win/loss statements, and host contact details from a mobile-friendly experience.

Outcomes

The new website and Player Portal gave guests a more useful and engaging digital experience. Visitors could explore dining, promotions, rewards, and account details with less friction. The portal also reduced the need for support calls by giving guests self-service access to statements, account history, and rewards information.

The project helped Sky River Casino strengthen its digital presence and improve loyalty engagement. The site achieved a 100% increase in site traffic after launch. Sky River Casino also praised the work for exceeding expectations.
